10/18 - Oscar nominated actor Bruce Davison made a guest appearance on last season's Ghost Whisperer finale as the dean of Rockland University, with a suspicious connection to the Book of Changes. Now, TV Guide Magazine has learned exclusively that Davison will join the cast for a multi-episode arc in season five. "He plays a really pivotal character," says executive producer P.K. Simonds. "He's now the president of the university, but he had a certain relationship to the book that was just kind of hinted at last season, and we're going to find out more about that. His relationship with various potent forces are a threat to our characters this coming season, and we're going to find out a lot about that starting soon." Davison, who most recently made guest appearances on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, The Closer and Criminal Minds , will appear throughout the remainder of the season, in at least four episodes. "This is going to be a story that pops up unexpectedly from time to time in episodes that threaten our characters," adds Simonds. "He is one of those characters who is not what he seems and at various times plays much different kinds of roles in terms of how he may be able to help, or he may be able to harm our characters."
